from what i can see its pretty decent exept the autopilot and the gauges themselves, their layout seems fine.

edit:
i found this...
http://i.pbase.com/g6/04/645104/2/75810946.omngRIi7.jpg
http://www.aircraft.5u.com/images/7384.jpg

so its ONLY the autopilot section realy...
i think it depends on what is used by the customer. Wink

you have no idea how good it would be if You'd found a real life similar panel..it'd REALLY help me  ,I would have to modified the gauge, and that gauge xml is the type coded in a strange different language that is hard for me to figure it out ,so I would have to write a new entire gauge Smiley gauge and I really don't want to do that  ,I can't see the links jetpro ,One said Forbither and the other said was removed  Huh

Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.

The New Upgraded FSX 737-800 its finish ,I will be "Upgraded FSX 737-800"

I don't know what else to add  Undecided

I'm now trying to use and auto Installation compiler (ClickTeam Pro) ,looking a way to this software back up the original files in a single extra folder ,I need to back up the originals B737_800_interior.MDL, panel, texture folder ,aircraft.cfg etc

why auto Install ? because I know how people are ,if they had trouble placing a folder (FSND-MD-83, or Citation x  )in a stupid folder SimObjects\Airplanes\
I can't imagine how would be to place things in main sound folder ,main gauge folder and backing up the files ,

the original files has to be saved

any ideas would be appreciated

Alex

I'm lacking a little bit of free time on my side to test your B737 cockpit further.
If the roads here don't get blocked by the snow tonight, I'll try to get home soon enough to finish the tests. I'm mainly concerned about the electric systems, as I told you already.
It's nothing much though, I just want to verify a thing or two and provide my final feedback.

Hey Alex

I don't think you can provide an installer that will do all this

I think you have to TELL people to backup the original 737 interior model (or provide it inside the file) and also TELL people any other files to backup.

Then I think you may be able to provide the installer but I suspect it is complicated to install into many directories --BUT ...  it may be better to simply provide install instructions for manual install. It is not that complicated. (self install is great when it works but can this be done?)

I don't think anyone will really want the originals after your upgrade. You are only adding things - not taking anything away .. Smiley ... but nio big deal if they do -- we can always provide backups here if they want them  ...

I'm still working on the auto install Pete  Undecided you know how people are some times that thing damage my original files Bla Bla Bla I'm just looking a way to reverse the whole thing and put the whole thing back the way it was
on the other hand If they install manually ,If they ask me via Email (Funny I made a Support forum for that and its the less place people use not even here in this forum) they just ask me via email ,that the airplane doesn't show? ,that how do they install it? ,that what to do with the zip file? what is a zip? ,a lot of people these day doesn't know to place a single folder in Airplanes folder ..

Imagine the main sound folder files  and main gauge folder for the GPWS ,and what if they don't know how to back up all the files?  Shocked there also some textures that will have to be modified

I'm still studying the Clickteam software if it doesn't do what I want ,Ill have no choice will be manually  Cry

Alex. I haven't tried the current version of the Clickteam Install Creator but I have used it in the past. Unless they've drastically changed it the software works by overwriting existing files, in exactly the same way as extracting a zipfile to a specific location. The only difference is that it has an optional Uninstall feature. This could obviously cause problems if it removed default files. I don't think it will do what you want.

It depends on the size of the originals I guess, but maybe you could have a "restore default" exe that reinstalls the default 737 cockpit files?
