...a silly old Billy!... Roll Eyes...!

I've been spending years, installing various Pay-ware and Free-ware programs, in an attempt to brighten up the scenery in my Flight Sims, to represent bright, Summer-time textures, from its usual miserable, dim, dull, textures...

..when all I needed to do was to adjust the; "Brightness" on my LCD Monitor from its default; 40% Brightness, to 70%+ Brightness!... Smiley...!

Sorted!.... Grin...!

Paul...the simplest of things often elude my feeble brain!... Wink...!

And just wait until you start playing with the "Gamma" adjustment of your video card...  Roll Eyes

EDIT: sorry, not "gamma", it's another name but I don't know the actual english name for it. It's in the NVidia color settings, a possible translation could be "numeric shine" or something like that... it modifies the intensity of the colors, instead of the contrast and luminosity.

EDIT2: this one:

I've had FSX  for 5 years now, and I'm still trying to figure out how to get the planes off the ground - I've checked the Fuel levels, and even poured Gas down the Hard Drive so I know their full of Fuel,,, Ummmm ??

I've just applied those settings, and the result is amazing!
My trusty FS 2004 has suddenly been transformed into a Snow White, Technicolour version of FS 2004, with a richly coloured, vibrant landscape!
The whole scene, together with my increased monitor brightness, has suddenly become much brighter and more colourful!
Now my FS 2004 is even more of a joy to use every day!

...many thanks for the tip!

Paul...FS 2004... Cool...!

Together with the above adjustments, another vast improvement I made overall, in Ground Environment II Pro, was to increase the settings...

"Ground Colour" > "Colourize" >

"R","G"."B" colours, "Saturation" and "Brightness".

This gave the overall scene an increase in brilliance, highlighting all the colours!

(With all the above effects increased, it also brightens up all the Icons and Windows on the desktop!)

I am now immersed in a new World of Colour!... Cheesy...!
