Sometimes I wonder if I have more fun flying them jet fighters off and on carriers or the big 747-400s.  That posky one's a joy and easy to fly. Smiley

Excellent shots. You can't go wrong with such a nice-looking plane anyway.  Cool

I miss the F-14 at airshows  Cry
Oh well, every warbird has to be put to bed sometime.

Here is the last one to do a performance at the Muskegon Air Show:

One of my favorite exchanges from Top Gun --

Merlin -- What are you doing?  You're slowing down!  You're slowing down!!

Maverick -- I'm bringing him in closer, Merlin!

Merlin -- You're gonna do WHAT???

The look on Merlin's face....he's thinking, "Holy shit, this guy's NUTS!!"

Yeh nothing like the look of an F14!

Topgun is a great F14 film, but don't forget 'The Final Countdown' too. Some fantastic pre-grey F14 shots, including a dogfight with a pair of Jap Zeroes!
