Goodly afternoon all... Wink

What's that you say...ME....Full Of Hot Air.... Grin

FSX and Windows 7
FS Water Configurator
HDE Clouds
3D Lights
Aircraft:   Cameron Hot Air Balloon
Location:  Bear Camp Research Station
               British Columbia...Canada
All Freeware and a great place to look is right here at the Simviation Download Site... Smiley
Season:  Fall
Early morning takeoff or as I think the ballonist call it..."Morning Glow"... Smiley

The chase vehicle would have to be an Amphibious Helicopter and radio communications would be a vital asset to transmit location flying over terrain like this... Smiley

If you have never had a ride in a Hot Air Balloon or Glider get out there and take one.
There is nothing like it unless maybe you are someone who jumps out of perfectly good aircraft with a bedsheet over your head... Grin

Bear Camp Research Station
...

Departing with case of pork and beans, loaf of buttered bread, cheese, champagne and lots of tea...
...

Our Airspeed is almost as fast as a herd of turtles...
...

Gosh what a beautiful morning....
...

During the winter you can actually remove your coat, sweaters...etc...as it is quite warm in the basket even with only two people...
...

You can actually change direction with a balloon by going up or down...
...

Wind change...time to climb...
...

Comments and Advice most welcome... Wink

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Very cool, Doug...........your sim looks great and I think you've inspired me to take a balloon ride Cool

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Great shots Doug. I really like the one from the "virtual cockpit" (well... cockpit...), with such a nice view. Cool atmosphere here again Smiley

Yeah, it seems my video card is fried. And I am really taking my time deciding what to replace it with. I'm pretty much grounded for now.  Cry
