in an attemt to match a flight plan made in FS with the ones made in IE PMDG 744 FMS or FS commander. it would be nice if I could update the nav information that FS uses so it matches the ones used in FSC or PMDG or any other nav aid software..

makes any sense now ?

Ah I understand now. Smiley
I 'm not sure you can update the Nav basic information of FS.
I mean, when one makes a scenery for a given airport, he can edit the information like ILS etc... for that precise airport, so it could be possible to edit the rest of the informations for a given zone.

Perhaps, you should post your question in the scenery design section of the forum. There will be much more "edition-experts".

This kind of update does exist: I downloaded an updated AIRAC for FS9 a few months ago which works fine. This was a .bgl file that goes in addon scenery/scenery that updates the native AIRAC information to August 09, but unfortunately the download I've got doesn't have any information about where I might have got it from; it's just the .bgl file in there which means it wasn't from any of the big sites. I don't even know if there's a FSX version. I've tried to search for it but nothing comes up, so I can't point you to it as it may well have been removed for some reason. Sorry I can't be of any more help beyond the tantalizing possibility.

Anybody else download this AIRAC update recently?

Wink

While I haven't seen a global update for FSX using the ARINC 424 standard, it is still possible to update individual airport airspace including SID/STAR waypoints and navaids that are within the airspace.  All you need is SID/STAR and navaid data for the airport and a scenery design utility to input the waypoints/navaids.

While this doesn't address the low/high level airway routes between SIDs/STARs it's an improvement over the existing data that is frozen in 2005.
