I would love to have a Howard 500. My grandfather used to have one (he sold it before I was born), and I've loved it since I flew the Milton Shupe one for FS2004.

I used to fuel the Howard 500 (N500HP) at Anoka County Airport while in high school (1997-2001).  It took ungodly amounts of 100LL.  I believe it's still on field although I haven't seen it for a while.

IF I COULD OWN ANY AIRCRAFT: Beechcraft King Air B200

Lancair Legacy or similar type. I would want something fast, 2 seat, retracts, and be clean aerodynamic wise.

I love the 1940s classics, the Ercoupe of which I canno't find a decent operating one for FSX.  Additionally, the Globe or Temco Swift, of which I am a proud owner, albeit a money pit, bought it on the cheap and will spend tens of thousands putting it back into the air.  If I can keep away from women and the occasional drink or three, don't eat and become incredibly wealthy, well then I should be done by 2020.

Bought a "bargain" classic, eh?
Normally, that's not a very good idea... but it's a Swift, so you're excused.  Grin

BTW, there's a fantastic Ercoupe available for X-Plane; might actually induce me to buy that program.

Dude!  You were correct, that is a totally awesome "Coupe".  Indeed, I may be forced to turn over to x-planes

Personally... if I REALLY had the money and could afford it...

One of each the fighters from WWII, both allies and axis... beside the ME190 that I never liked (don't ask me why, don't know it myself, I simply can't make myself like it). Cheesy

...and the F86 Sabre and the Mig 15 (the last pure dogfighters) too. Wink

If I really had to choose though... with a heavy heart because of all the beauties I had to leave behind, I guess it'd be the P51 Mustang (even a modern 1:1 replica would be fine). Smiley

There is no such a thing as overkill. Only unworthy targets.

Battlestar Galactica.

I'm not sure if it really counts as an aircraft though. I suppose it can go through the air?

Douglas A-1H Skyraider.  My grandfather used to fly it as a naval aviator.
If I couldn't have that, I'd probably want something big like a 747-400.  I've been flying those things WAY too much in FS.  So much, that I even have an easier time landing and flying those beheamoths in some of the toughest places and conditions than I do in even a Cessna C172SP Skyhawk! Cheesy

If i couldn't have that, i'd probably go with a Grumman F-14 Tomcat.  I'm just addicted to those in FS.

Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.
