Hi all,

I just downloaded the beautiful default 737-800 cockpit improvement package and love it; but I have one question. Is it possible to use it in the POSKY 737-700 aircraft since they use the same cockpit? I really want those extra features, but when I tried installing it into the POSKY 737, there was an error saying FSX couldn't load the external model. Has anybody else gotten it to work?

Thanks!

Check the content of the model.cfg file. The name of the exterior model is surely wrong.

I think Posky doesn't make FSX-SDK models ,I believe must be FS2004 SDK compilation FS9 and FSX Compilations does not work that way  Undecided

Alejandro, I believe PoSky have created one or two FSX native models, shortly before they dissappeared. Their 737 might be one of them.
It could be worth a shot to adapt your cockpit to this PoSky 737. The only thing that might have to be modified would be the virtual cockpit position compared to the center of the model. Since Posky's 737 might be shorter than the default 737 model, the vc might end in the wrong place.

Posky models were nice, but Posky website was one of the most terrible I've ever seen. Downloading a single plane was a challenge !

There's several versions of the FSX native Posky 737 posted right here at SimV. They come complete with the default 737-800 VC. http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1&keywords=posky+737&categoryId=

Alex. I tried your VC with one example & it works fine. Very nice job.  Smiley

Thanks for the test !
Did you also check the position of the VC compared to the position of the cockpit in the external view ?

Yes.  I used this Views entry in Aircraft.cfg.

[Views]
eyepoint = 42.5, -1.55, 1.9

It might vary with the model.

I'm not sure Posky did an FSX native model of the 737-700. If you give me a link I'll check it out.

Would be a dream come true if the new upgraded VC could be added to some Posky models (those that allow such with regards to compatibility) and uploaded here for us dummies who cannot help our self.

Please Alrot?  Cheesy

That should be easy enough. It's easier if you use one of the Posky 737s already updated with the default VC. Try the German Airline package here. http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1&keywords=posky+737&categoryId=

After you install the new VC to the default B737_800 take a copy of the file named B737_800_interior.MDL (in the B737_800 Model folder) & paste it into the Model folder of the Posky 737. Overwrite files when prompted. Then paste a copy of the B737_800 Panel folder into the Posky aircraft. Back up the original Panel folder first.

Thanks a million Hagar. Works a charm.

The CS 737-100/200 also for now uses the default VC.

Wicked sauce to add this update to that.

I really must make a donation now. This update serving a far larger upgrade then I think it was intended for  Smiley
