If you've not yet played that mission, give it a go! There is the carrier tutorial, then a carrier practise (make 5 landings in a row) and then the IMC mission....

Basically zero fuel, zero visibility, only your trusty wingman to fly you in... I was like Cougar, and he was Maverick  Grin

You follow your wingman down (tiring to stay in formation) and he flies you down to the carrier for your emergency landing. At the last moment my airspeed dropped by about 10 knots, and I overestimated my climb and shot over the cables. Boltering, when you can't see outside the window, with no orientation, is not a good thing.

I managed to find the carrier again (wingman didn't help this time, he was having a coffee break) and made a perfect landing... Right until the moment when the plane tipped forward and clipped the wing.

ARRRGGHH!!!  Grin

Worth a play again, but phew, it is exhausting. Has anyone else had better luck?  Tongue

I have ever tried this one.
I tried only the one with the 5 landings in a row... and then, if you takeoff again, and climb at 10.000 (I think), you find a new waypoint... refueller !

It takes spme practise in the earlier tutorials, I've done this OK on both pc and laptop, ok, if you bolter you have to stay low to  find the carrier again but i do find 130 knts a tad slow.

Use the carrier near san franscisco for practice and install aicarrier2.

May the Mynd be with you.
So far my number of landings either passenger or pilot equal my number of takeoffs, but that is due to change Smiley
