May the Mynd be with you.
So far my number of landings either passenger or pilot equal my number of takeoffs, but that is due to change Smiley

You downloaded the Mirage 2000-N, a two seater, great model but FS9 port-over.
We were talking about the other one from the same author (Rollus, Roland Laborie), which is a Mirage 2000-5, single seater, and FSX native. That last one cannot be downloaded anymore, excepted from torrents.

Here's a good place to start - it's a list of all of the freeware FSX native aircraft currently available.

A better way to put that is... "at least all of the ones they could think up over at SimOuthouse" (were the list is originated).

If you can find it, The Rollus mirage 2000 Is the non-American VRS F/A-18E of freeware. 95% of all buttons in the cockpit work Cool.

I kinda wanted him to search but guess I forgot to give clues. Anyway I didn't want to post the link because rollus DEFINATELY did not want it being on other sites. So I avoid the link to that page
.

Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.

If you want an Airliner, PMDG 737NGX, is by far, the BEST FSX  Airliner out there.  And for Military, Aerosoft F-16 and the IRIS F-22 or A-10 (Because you can shoot the gun!).

All I see here are payware... I guess people like to pay for stuff, even though you have some that are better than most payware for free... It saddens me to see the payware companies gaining terrain over solo freeware developers... There is almost no support for them, even though some freeware developers, like Rollus and Dino Catteano throw out some of the best freeware available...

Most freeware developers don't have a website you can go to and raise hell if something doesn't work. If they do it's the...life is busy don't like it make your own thing usually.
Payware forums you raise hell at their forum and every other flight sim forum get their attention and they fix it....or lose lots of money Wink

Nah, it's not only that. I often make my e-mail available for people to contact me if something doesn't work properly. Also I make my youtube account available for that purpose too and yet only a handful of people that contact me actually care about the stuff I upload and what are my next projects...  Grin

Payware companies are not gaining terrain over freeware creators at all. Those are two different terrains, that's all. Wink

Look at the planes Black Ace have mentionned:
- B-737: Do you know any good 737 for FSX ? The Posky one is beautiful externally, but inside it is as complex as the default, which is quite bad. There is the TinMouse but it has no virtual cockpit. Nothing else.
- A10. Do you know any freeware A10 that has good quality ? There are absoluetely none. There might be one or two, in FS9 format (or older), and without virtual cockpit.
- F22. There is one beta model for FSX, with a nice external model but a very basic VC. Future updates might make it interesting, but so far the most "complex" one is the freeware Alphasim one... and even the default Cessna is more complete that this.
- F16: No freewares for FSX. Only the Kirk Olsson's one from FS9, with a nice looking model, and a basic and non-clickable VC.

Some payware offer a level of quality and realism that freeware creators cannot offer, or have not offered yet. My opinion about this is that we should be glad some companies are actually producing stuff that is totally missing in the freeware world, making the amount of available models/sceneries for a sim even greater.

My hangar is full of freewares, but I have some paywares that have no equivalents in the freeware world, and I'm glad those addons existed to fill that gap.

I use FSX. Have used every fight sim program from Microsoft, from FS95 to pressent and purchsed every release includeing the deluxe versions. (always pissed me off)
I also own X-Plane which I'm not as impressed with as I am of Microsofts systems.

Im a Carenado fan for civil and Wings of Power for Vintage aircraft.

Im a pilot and have several thousand hours in winged aircraft and about 30 in rotorcraft,

Ive flown  P51s, B25s and a F-4 Phantom. Just about everything else in fixed wing, piston powered aircraft. I have 6 hours for a ferry job of a Piper Cheyenne from Mena, Ark to BR, La after a paint job. Thats my only turboprop time. Flown many hours in T-6 and T-28(s). So Im wierd in that i want my fight simming world to be like it was when i flew.

Carenado's aircraft are the most accurate in tecture, and most important to me is how realistic it flys. If its not like the real thing, Im not interested. The lastest of their aircraft exceded my expectations. They are resource hogs fyi.

As for W.O.P. the Mustang is almost like the real thing. For the exception of 50' flyby at 100% to altitude, my experience was a few thousand feel more. And burned WAY more fuel.

Enjoy your new FSX. I've been using Microsoft's Flight Sim since FS95.

fyi I used a Hex Core processor, Windows 7, 6 gig of ram and GeForce GTS-450 and get good rendering. And thats with everything maxed and no traffic. Beats the hell out of my Core duo GTX-8800GTX system by a long shot. I do desire another graphics card but will wait to purchase during a better economy.

I just wished the aircraft would spin like they do in the real world. X-Plane is getting close to perfecting it but FSX is getting better and feel they may figure out that physics issue.

Now that's some cool real world flying experience there !  Shocked
For the Mustang, you might be pleased by the next A2A Mustang with Accusim... I mean, when it will get available :/
(I'm waiting for it since ages, just like the future Accusim F-104 and Accusim F-4...)

The ifly 737 has all the models and can come with that fancy voice thing Grin
If I want a f-16 sim with great graphics go for falcon 4 BMS (It's free Cheesy)
No offence IRIS But the a-10 sim on my mind is the DCS a-10. Everything droppable & And usable And it makes an effect on the virtual world Cool

Jetprop, but then the mirage cannot be uploaded anywhere else legally.  Undecided
I hope someone doesn't try to upload the file here or anywhere else for that matter unless it is Laborie himself. But I'm sure people have tried before Grin
