Left Adelaide at 4 in the morning, climbed to FL380

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v235/derKaiser/Qantas%20A330-200%20to%20Honolu...

The beautiful sun makes it appearance and brightens our day

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v235/derKaiser/Qantas%20A330-200%20to%20Honolu...

Wonderful halo~ish effect

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v235/derKaiser/Qantas%20A330-200%20to%20Honolu...

And finally we're leaving dusty old Australia for the lush islands of Hawaii!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v235/derKaiser/Qantas%20A330-200%20to%20Honolu...

Usually you get to see quite a few islands on the way, but all we got was an ocean of clouds until Vanuatu

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v235/derKaiser/Qantas%20A330-200%20to%20Honolu...

There it is, the last great island on the route: Vanuatu!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v235/derKaiser/Qantas%20A330-200%20to%20Honolu...

I was imagining looking for buried treasures until I realised pirates were only in the carribean

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v235/derKaiser/Qantas%20A330-200%20to%20Honolu...

Fly me to the moon and let me, plaaaay among the stars

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v235/derKaiser/Qantas%20A330-200%20to%20Honolu...
The last tiny islands visible near the clouds to the left: after this nothing but the great Pacific Ocean

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v235/derKaiser/Qantas%20A330-200%20to%20Honolu...

Thomas Ruth did an exemplary job with his freeware Airbuses. I can't imagine how many people he made happy with his work!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v235/derKaiser/Qantas%20A330-200%20to%20Honolu...

After a long tedious flight across nothing but water there she is, Oahu!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v235/derKaiser/Qantas%20A330-200%20to%20Honolu...

And one final from the cockpit before we stow the camera away and approach Honolulu International...

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

Oh... I thought I was achieving the opposite since I wouldn't be using your bandwidth then.  Huh
