So far so good, here... raining in sheets on and off; buckets are out under the various leaks; in a moment I have to break in to the room of one of the residents who stupidly left his window wide open when he went away for the weekend...
Latest local news says the winds have not really died down as much as expected, and they've issued tornado warnings for overnight.
Things will mostly get "real" in the morning... the streets will be flooded in my neighborhood, and there will be heavy winds and torrential rain.
Tomorrow morning's high tide will be a "moon tide" (Moon between Sun and Earth, which amplifies the gravitational effect on bodies of water), so those living on the water can expect massive flooding, especially if the wind is strong just before the tide peaks. The Passaic River, pretty close to me, is expected to overflow.
Right now it's about normal for a typical rainstorm, but it's merely a prelude. I've seen brief 60-mph gusts here before, and heavy rain, but this could be nasty, as it will go on and on without letting up.
But we're four stories up, my car is parked on sloping high ground away from trees, and I have what I need to be comfortable.

Another over hyped media non-event.
Please resume your lives.

Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.

I suppose if North Korea fired a nuclear missile at San Francisco it would not be an over hyped media event.
As soon as it became clear that the missile would miss its target by 2000 miles and was so poorly built that it never had a chance of detonation but Paris Hilton was terrified anyway it would become an over hyped media event.

Make The "city" Part "country" and it becomes a normal rationing day

That could be a little overestimated. Even here it takes only about 2 days.

Woah
. But it might have reduced power.
But I seriously hope it does ease off. I know this doesn't make a difference but Best of luck.
