ok guys here's a stumper for you.

FS9 . Create a Flight page in sim.  below the SELECT WEATHER THEME is a button to SAVE FLIGHT.

I can set up the flight with aircraft, airport, weather, time/season and tell it to save to the UI Generated, Previous Flight, everything.... i can go fly that setup and then hit ESC > end flight.  or just close FS, and it will always bring me back to the Cessna 172 at KSEA, Fair Weather, (computer system time).

I know there is a line in the FS9.CFG for SITUATION=XXXXXXXXX    But i do not remember what section it is under, or basically how it is set up.  if someone could possibly share their "SITUATION=" line, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

It is under the [USERINTERFACE] label.  It is just the complete path to a FLT file which has been previously saved:

Mine looks like this:

SITUATION=C:\Documents and Settings\Opa\My Documents\Flight Simulator Files\Southwest at KDAL 13R

(Southwest at KDAL 13R is how I named the saved flight)

Note that FLT is not required in the SITUATION= line.

Edit added:  If you are ruuning FS under Win 7 or Vista, be sure you have Right clicked the exe file and set it to "run as adminstrator" - otherwise such "saves" are likely not to be actually saved.

Also be sure you have put a check mark in the "make this the default flight" box on the save dialogue. That is what directs FS to save the flight to the SITUATION= line.

Hope that helps.

When you hit ESC just exit FS. When you restart next time, go to select flight/ saved flights/ previous flight. That takes you back to where you left of when you exited last.

when you restart FS and go to CREATE A FLIGHT, your flight should already be loaded as per the SITUATION= line in the .cfg.

maybe that is what my problem is, i have been trying to save the flight as UI GENERATED, or PREVIOUS FLIGHT and it does not like those.  I'll try to name it something else if it is nothing more than just the name of the craft.

SITUATION=C:\Documents and Settings\Chris\My Documents\Flight Simulator Files\Venom Helo

Try making a new scenery entry named Special Excludes (or some such name of your choosing) with a scenery subfolder.

Put your ExcBuilder exclude(s) into that scenery subfolder (rather than in your Addon scenery/scenery subfolder).

Then add (activate) your new "Special Excludes" as a scenery entry and be sure it has a No 1 priority.

See that possibly works.
