If anyone has this aircraft, I have a few questions.
#1. How realistic is this Aircraft?
#2. How does it handle in the air?
#3. How easy is it to install/download?

I have heard that it isn't that easy to get flying from quite a few people and I was just curious. Smiley

i bought the PMDG MD-11 right after christmas. I like it, but it took wayyy to long to install because it made me install each individual livery and there was like about a 100. and in flight it is basically in auto throtle. over all it was good but i hadnt had a chance to read the manuals and figure it all out.

Isn't easy to fly because its the closest thing to a Real Life 747-400 you can find ,this is not and airplane that you choice in the menu then set the flaps and fly around like default and any other craft (including mines) You have to works with real life procedures from cold start apu systems. Make a flight Plan
Is if you were in a real 747 and some one allow you to fly it ,Nothing can't be compare to this payware ,not a single dummy buttom or switch, the flight Dinamics truly .
from a person that make airplanes ,I would tell you ,to me its the most realistic THING ever made for any flight simulator (all versions)

If you bought ity I suggest you to see the FMC tutorials in youtube
the only thing is not real is the radio which have to be set thru the FMC ,in real life you can use the fmc and the radio panel knobs to do it ..
I recommend it  Wink

let me add that this plane ,the VC everything are gauges (almost)even  the seats can be adjusted, so you may need a good computer a ,enough ram (4gb) a good video card ,and multi core CPU  if you have a powerful computer enough you will enjoy this plane ,I can't understand that price, sometimes I think that PMDG is the Same Boeing promoting the real life airplane, hidding under a ghost company ,the airplane is so realistic that I think only people from Boeing can achieve this (I'm speculating  of course) Tongue  Grin

$30 dollars at Target for the PMDG!!!!!!!  You really can't go wrong with that.

The bad news is:  This plane raises the bar so darned high, you might have trouble enjoying airplanes of lesser fidelity. Smiley

I was really surprised when I found it at Target. They don't usually have that many PC games/expansions. Anyhoo, I watched the Tutorials and this aircraft is going to be AWESOME!! Cheesy

I too, just got it...and love it! I love the tubers....After flying the iFly 744 for some time, it's a little easier to "digest" the manual, which is almost 400 pages, not including the tutorials.

So far two good flights, there's a LOT to learn still. This is the most realistic model I've flow so far... Wink
