Holiday Leave (Read 674 times)

Hi people,
Here's the situation:
I'm more than happy with the many excellent addons that I've acquired recently for FS2004, and especially FSX.
I think I've taken care of everything I have needed to do recently in the FS community regarding helping with projects, posting results for events, and hosting some events.
I'm still on relatively good terms with most people here, at least that's what I
think
is the case.
With the above being said, I'm just going to take a leave of absence from the FS community (as a whole, both here and on other websites) until mid-January.
This is not directed at any one person or organization, but I've noticed lately (as have a few others I believe) an increase in turmoil over certain issues across the FS community (all FS websites). Either that, or it seems like the line between community cooperation and community discord has become incredibly thin, meaning it doesn't take much to have people up in arms over trivial things related to a computer game.
I'm not upset with anyone, but, realizing that I am very content in my current FS situation, I want to step away from the politics of the hobby for a while, and simply enjoy my sim on my own.
If I have a major FS issue that I need advice on, I may need to stop back in again, but my aim is to be gone until mid-January.
You'll still be able to catch me on the Simviation multiplayer server over some weekends and University holiday breaks, such as the one coming up during the week of Thanksgiving, but that will be the extent of my involvement. Plus, I know the few who show up to those events pretty well.
I also will not be announcing when I will be on, beyond what is posted for the upcoming multiplayer flight around Nov 21st or whenever.
So, have fun...don't break anything, and most of all don't die (Fozzer...
), and I'll see you guys next year!
Thanks,
-SeanTK
P.S.
If something comes up that that absolutely, positively requires my attention (don't know what that would be), some members here have my Gmail email address, and I imagine that they would be ok with relaying any really important messages to me. This whole thing starts tomorrow (Monday) so if you need to contact me, do it now.

Enjoy your holiday Sean. I look forward to your coming back in January.
If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

I've got to get on MP again soon. I don't think I've had it up since September and I haven't even fired up a sim for solo flying since October.

I guess I'll be back for a while longer in support of the legal issue we're having with Alrot's MD-83.

I wrote the readme, so I'm involved.

Welcome back. Must have been the shortest break I've ever seen.
Just kidding. Hopefully you can enjoy your break after Alrot's problems are solved.
Catch you on the server.

I have a feeling that it'll die down with inaction over the next fews days, so I'll probably be on until Friday, but then that'll be it for a while.
See you on the server. The flight in the Netherlands is still on for this weekend.

I feel our loss, especially at this time of year Fabian.
But as they say in the theater, 'the show must go on'. Hopefully, after a time, they will return; and in the interim, we can carry on and remember them.
Merry Christmas Fabian.
