Good afternoon all...
Having spent many hours, using different times, locations and seasons I have been unable to get the Northern Lights to show up in FSX.
http://www.northernlightscentre.ca/northernlights.html
Some say they were in FS2004 but Microsoft left them out of FSX.
I am not sure about that.
But, having seen the Northern Lights many many times in real life in many parts of Canada I would like to see if they could be replicated in this new program.
They would make for a very beautiful interesting flight and it does not have to be pitch black out to see them either.

I would love to see this come to pass. And realistic. True beauty from your cockpit! Great idea Doug!
Flying with twins is a lot of fun..

I've seen them by pure chance in fs2004. They are not all that dramatic. But they are there. Apparently VERY rare.
best,

I caught them once in FS02, not sure about FS04, don't have FSX. Seem to recall they were kinda greenish, nothing spectacular. Wonder if someone has an add-on for this?
