The only thing worse than pop-ups ads........being pestered in real life for various causes!
I think I declined about a dozen flyers/ads today in my travels across campus. Ugh..  Cheesy

The only pleasant part was the geography department's method of advertising studying abroad, which involved random Aussie and Kiwi women approaching you and talking to you about it.
Was my first time communicating face to face with an Aussie and Kiwi. I'll pass on the trip for now, but I'll take the accent!  Wink

Sean's random musings for the day. Figured the international crowd here would enjoy it.  Smiley

Every day when I am walking back from college there is always a bloke stood in the square saying "Big Issue please".

One day I'll give him one, but not right now  Grin

The thing that annoys me is cold calling. Here in Germany it is illegal, but they still do it. Once you are on a caller list, your are on it for life, however, my wife and I have a way to get off and it seems to work. If one of us answers the phone and it is a cold call asking for the other one, the recipient of said call informs the caller that the b#tch (my wife) or the open trousered a$$hole has left me/her and we have no idea where he/she is or come to that matter care!!!  You would not believe how much the cold calling has dropped  Grin Grin

I love messing with telemarketers. The other day I had one on the phone and I let him talk for a minute or two pretending to be interested. The suddenly I yelled "NO! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!!" He asked what was wrong, I started sobbing hysterically and said "I DROPPED MY COOKIE!" and sobbed some more and then hung up the phone. Grin Grin Grin

It's also fun pretend that you have tourettes syndrome. Wink

My method of choice is to use another language. We had a spate of cold calling when I was living in Hungary, my favourite being the local newspaper. I asked them if they did an English language edition so when they said no I said it was not much bloomin' use to me as a Brit. They never called back. Think I got onto some kind of blacklist Grin Grin Grin
