recently i had to buy a new pc with win 7 64 bits. story short i burnt the last one, too much video game. i was very please by the look of fsx, you can push the sliders a little further, it give the game a new breathe. unfortunatly i'm having much difficulty when it come to install add-ons. i can install small thing like 2-3 bgl files directly dropped in scenery. i tried bigger like quebec/lesage airport no success. even payware like cyul montreal/trudeau with an installer. the files are in place but cant activate in library. i go in library i locate the scenery in addon scenery i push open, the file name is there, i push ok but nothing, the window doesnt close an the file doesnt appear in library and no formation of new decors. is there some place where i can find an easy comprehensive tutorial

The library issue is a very well known FSX bug that occurs in Vista and Seven, 32 or 64 bits.
There is a procedure, it's quite simple, but I can never remember it
Have you checked the FAQ ? In any case, there are tons of messages on all the forums about this issue, you'll find the solution easilly, if somebody doesn't post it here first

Just found this:
Quote:
In settings choose Scenery Library, click Add Area, then locate your folder and select it.
The full path will show as: Directory (left of the OK button).
Click OK, in Vista this returned, in Windows 7 it clears the Directory window and shows the Scenery and/or Texture folder names.
Now right click somewhere in that large white area below the folder names and the area is added. Only the right click is new, but vital.

I have just tried it right now (I'm in the same situation as you are, new computer with Seven because the old one died last week).
It works and it's really simple.
When you want to add a new scenery, you just select the folder, you press OK, and instead of showing the addon scenery list, the window shows the content of the folder, that is "scenery" and "texture"... well, just right click anywhere below those folders => you're back at the scenery list, your new scenery appears on top of the list

Not sure where this right-click came from. I understand a left click works just as well.

Aaaah yes, indeed. Just tried again, and you are right
How comes I see only the right-click mentionned in the majority of the forums out there ? Strange...
