As for a video, the same kind is used on the 737-200's

Actually it is an option on even the new 737s.  Sun Country has to use them when they come here for charter flights, since we don't have a jetway.  I was not aware the MDs had them though, good information.

Its different David from the video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FJQzhhmaBg
to the md80
http://www.airliners.net/photo/Iberia/McDonnell-Douglas-MD-87/0277466/L/

the stair is a single piece because the MD is smaller than the 737s,I had it just for the photo
...

But I can't make the length goes longer ,I can't understand why it uses just 0 to 100 no more It deploys too darn fast
I change it in modeldef from 100 to 200 length IT doesn't work,I even want to make the wheels at the bottom to spin couple turns in the animation ,but its worthless ,too fast to see it Undecided  Cry
Code:
<Animation name="door_3" guid="5D79AF88-3ADF-475a-BB65-19A61B2626BF" length="200" type="Sim" typeparam2="door_3" typeparam="AutoPlay" />

Code:
  <PartInfo>
    <Name>door_3</Name>
    <AnimLength>200</AnimLength>
    <Animation>
      <Parameter>
        <Sim>
          <Variable>EXIT OPEN:3</Variable>
          <Units>percent</Units>
        </Sim>
      </Parameter>
    </Animation>
  </PartInfo>

Just a guess, but I think that is the pressurization outflow valve. It helps control the pressure of the aircraft by letting excess pressure out...or something like that.

When the aircraft is on the ground it is open all the way:

Ok, there isn't a part for that ,I could make it ,but i am not really sure how it works
So,what If I set this part with the suspension of the wheels? ,see ,when the plane is on the ground the weigh will push it Open and when it lift it will close..
you know how this is  Cheesy The more Fun things move ,the more people like it ,what do say Shane & ApplePie?

Besides ,there is no pressure in the cabin ,Just 00000111000111000100010001010001110000111100100001

Maybe you could set it to open with the landing gear so that it is open on approach as well?

That's a great suggestion Christian.  Smiley

Those are the only times it's open, so it would look accurate.  Wink

I hope I'm not being too annoying ,But see,I have never been in real life near airplanes, all I know is for Simviation.com FS98,FS2000,FS2002,fs2004,FSX and once I meet this son of %$$**@ who was a traffic controller and he just use me as his personal Cab(taxi) Once I told him I could not get him more "rides" he told me I couldn't be in the airport's tower anymore Cry

well this is another question first watch these

Tails of Md 80

the trimtab elevator trimtab rudder and trimtab aileron
In the elevator :is this part moves? like this while were moving the steer wheel in the throttle console ?

http://www.simviation.com/yabbuploads/trimtabrudderDibujo.jpg

I found the answer to this in a video YES it moves by the elevator steering wheel

  Does anybody know where are the Taxi lights,I know there are two bulls in the landing gear ,but most of the planes I see have Two pairs of bulb landing and taxi

It doesn't matter either I can add the light latter

This one is the one I can't find I need at least suggestion please!!!

how are these are being hold I know in the 707 and 727 and defailt FSX 737there where in the edges and even the citations
     ...

but from what I see HERE this parts are completely separated so what it holding them?

,I can't see what does it make it moves  Undecided

     ...

I can see little sticks in here,from the flaps to the wings (like the lead edge) But I'm not sure

http://www.airliners.net/photo/Alitalia/McDonnell-Douglas-MD-82/1771092/L/

the exterior is ready and I'm about to paint it, except  for this three things, I want it to make it accurate as much is I can  ,there won't be more question of the exterior
then Ill start the VC Roll Eyes

Wow Alex,, It is looking great...wish I could help you with some info on the type but I have never flown one. The model is great...I see you have different parts in colours..how do you join the parts without it all becoming one color or one object with the same properties?

I have been working on cleaning up my model but it ended up with more polys then when i started ;( so not feeling so confident at moment..

Thanks again for your help so far..

Alex

This article for scale modeller explains difference between the various DC 9/MD marks

It might contain some details or help explain some issues you come across for the exterior model.

Well....what can I say....it looks like an MD-83

it's most important to get the nose and windscreen right if it is to look right and it certainly does here Cool
