I'll start off by saying I have an ancient computer, recently I added a Geforce 9500 GT 512MB. (On an original PCI slot I may ad  Tongue.)

My integrated graphics could run this game at a decent FPS in most areas, my 9500 GT can run games like L4D2 and MW2 at decent framerates but I have to play FSX on low to get a decent FPS rate.

I'm pretty sure the issue here is the 512MB RAM of the card and the fact that its 128-bit memory, but I was just wondering if theres anyway I can get a few more FPS out of my card?

For me..my video drivers were too up to date. (BFG GeForce 9800gt) I reverted to 182.50 and that settled things down.
Tuning is a key here also..
two paths you may try..
NickN's sticky at the top of the FSX board or Jesus Altuve's thread.!

I would try the latter first, remembering that some of his tweaks apply to higher end pc's, and some are for midrange hardware.

Defrag on a regular basis, with good software other than windows crap, I like to use O and O but there are more out there.

Flying with twins is a lot of fun..
