I'm interested in learning what the majority of users of FS use to fly. I would appreciate it if you would also state the brand and model of your hardware, as well as your opinion of it.

I have been using a Saitek X52 Pro for about four months, but it was back at the factory for repair for one of those months. It is now doing the exact same thing again, erratic Z rotation, which controls the rudder via twist on the joystick. It has a separate throttle with multiple buttons on both parts. When it worked right, I loved it. But now it is almost impossible to use when taxing or landing. I am convinced it is a hardware issue, but Alienware thinks otherwise. And Saitek is not responding to my emails. In any event, the problem has yet to be resolved and I am considering my options, one of which is the purchase of a new system, thus the poll. Thanks for your participation.

I too have an X52Pro.  {Never had a bit o' difficulty with it.}  In addition to that I have the Saitek SwitchPanel and recently the MultiPanel.  To top it all off, a Saitek Cyborg Keyboard.

Love the MultiPanel!!!  Very cool! Cool

My latest, trusty Saitek Cyborg Evo Force twist Joystick combined with Throttle.

I have always used the same type of Joystick in all my Flight Sims, since 1995: Flight Unlimited II+III, Pro Pilot 2, Fly!, Gunship, CFS 2, FS'98/2000/2002/2004/FSX, etc, etc....
I have always liked the method of; "Twist, Point, and Fly", using a Joystick rather than a Yoke and Pedals.... Smiley...!

(Think, "Military Aircraft"!)...Wink...!

...and its the cheapest method of controlling a Sim Aircraft!

It also works for Helicopters, ......for those brave enough to fly them!.... Shocked.... Grin...!
