This may not be the correct spot - if so I apologize in advance.  Has anyone else sprung for the EZCA V1.15 (Ezdok camera) and is it successfully installed?  If so, I'd appreciate a dumbed down version of how this is done.  Every once in a while I get part of it working then nothing  Smiley.

When I did have it, I just use Win Rar or what ever it is called, extracted files, and that is all I had to do.
Though it has been for ever since I used it...

This version is fairly new and costs some money.  It's not the installation but the setting up.  The gent who designed the software is Russian and his conversion of the how-to manual into English leaves me struggling.  From all reports, he's a genius but that makes only one of us, hence the need for help?  Smiley

He released a new version recently? I had the old version which was free.
You have a link to where you got it from?

The manual really doesn't tell you how to install it.
Now when you bought it, what kind of file was it? a .rar? Or a .exe?

It was a Flight1 wrapper/installer - not sure what that is.  The manual, while complete, was written by a person who thinks in Russian so I'm missing some of the logic  Smiley.

Well you could try contacting him.
I don't know what to do, his .rar instillation was very easy to follow, don't know why he changed

I have EZDok v1.15 & after I overcame the same hurdle that you are stuck on I have it up & running & it is a brilliant bit of software.
It's best to take this in small chunks (or else I will confuse myself)  Wink so here goes;

Have you removed the shortcut keys assigned to your joystick in FSX?

I assume the programme has loaded?
You have FSX running in windowed mode
as opposed to full screen?
[alt. enter]

You have the ECZA window open?
[In fsx "hit "add-ons"/EZdok/Show studio

So far so good?!

Have you configured your joystick within ECZA?
[EZdok "options"]

Is there a particular function that you are stuck on
eg creating camera from scratch in the a/c,  assigning keys to view these camera? etc

As I said small chunks.
More to follow------------

Believe it or not, I am making progress.  It's working with both keyboard and joystick - up to a point.  Two cameras, pilot and forward in VC.  Only two in aircraft, right/left wings - doesn't want to do others.  A problem area is world cameras - here is where I had high hopes but the 'outside' only gives a fixed spot with panning but no back and forth or sideways and the 3D is still a mystery.  What's your tactic been with this?  All the business with 'views' seems awkward in the setup but, when I'm feeling baffled, I go to their forum where other's problems make mine look small Smiley.

Great that you've made some progress. I have virtual cockpit cameras set up in about 4 a/c. Views as follows;
Straight ahead/look fwd sitting up in seat to look round the nose in a taildragger/trim/radios/fuel cut off. The first is set up on a button on my joystick (Saitek Cyborg Evoforce) with the last 4 on the hat switch. On my RealAirDuke B60which has 4 pax seats in the back I have set up 2 cameras so as to look at the back of the pilots head Wink or out of the window, again these are linked to buttons on my joystick.
I can use the hat switch to either pan arround the cockpit, or if pressing the assigned button in the joystick configuration [ page 18 of the manual] can use the hat switch to change views between different cameras, floating from one view to the next.
Is your set up broadly similiar to the above???
Not sure why you can only set up 2 cameras - can you expand on this?

I'll come back to you on World cameras

For anyone not familiar EZDok & reading this must be thinking I ain't going to touch this with a barge pole. Well I think you would be missing out on a great programme. Not only does it give you super smooth transmission between different camera views it really does add realistic movement, bumping up & down etc. as you taxi on a not so super smooth taxiway. Chris Palmer uses EZDok  to video his lessons in his Aviator90 series [ a series of 45 FREE lesson] Check out an example at http://www.flyaoamedia.com/blog/aviator90/aviator90-episode-31/

The head 'latency' and aircraft movement simulations all work fine, as do the cameras.  My ability to get it all going is what's lacking.  On 'aircraft' cameras - after creating left and right wing, I tried rudder/tail and landing gear but the camera remained under the last selected wing.  On world cameras, I selected 'ouside', expecting the same as in FSX, but I'm thinking I may have to call it 'formation' or something like that.  The Russian gent who developed this is on to something really good - a rewrite of his manual, making it more step by step, assuming nothing, thus allowing for the lower common denominator, ME  Smiley.

Aircraft cameras woked ok for me.
No idea on how to work the "3D" mode!
World mode. Well I can position one camera and you have to set it at the position the a/c is at and the camera will record in the direction that the a/c was pointing. Difficulty I have is that If I position a 2nd camera & point it in a different direction, save it , go to world camera #1 then back to world camera #2 and it is pointing in the direction of the first camera Shocked Roll Eyes

I think more is to come in the next version, as hinted in the manual & the forum. I also agree it is an amazing programme that could do with a "keep it simple stupid" set of directions. If these were backed up by video guides it would certainly help

Bruce and Tai
Appreciate your interest and help.  We seem to be functioning - added a spot view to aircraft so, between the arrows, page up/down and mouse view, I'm getting around.  As I said, it's a work in progress and, with several fixes coming up, can only get better.  This blog has the best review read so far  http://iblueyonder.com
