Always admired the DeHavilland Twin Otter and flew several times in the right seat of one.  Never did get checked out in one.   Smiley

The thing they liked about the Twin Otter in Canada's North during the winter was you just put two plastic covers in the engine intakes and walked away.
With the Douglas DC3 we had to use engine and wing covers which took a good hour or more to put the aircraft to bed and then we had to use the Herman Nelson Heater to get the engines warm prior to starting. 
It really was not much fun.

We still use the Herman Nelson on our Twin Otters, but only if if below -30 C or so Wink
