Hi all,

After seeing the Red Arrows video on the front page and having done air to air refueling for years I thought I'd have a go  at building up a formation, but  Smiley
Having done the first flight which records and plays back perfectly even as traffic, when I record the traffic and myself, all I get recorded is my own aircraft even though I have record traffic setup.

Anybody Any ideas?
I have the latest one from fs recorder but not yet had time to try it, the one I have trouble with is the one downloaded from here.

What I was repeating was the Lancaster and Vulcan formation from Waddington 2008, but tried all sorts of aircraft with same results, the recording played back as traffic and recorded again, does not get recorded

May the Mynd be with you.
So far my number of landings either passenger or pilot equal my number of takeoffs, but that is due to change Smiley

Recorder is not able to record the flights it is currently playing.
That means that it will not record the other "yourself".
What you need to do is to record each flight just like you do, but when you want to play several flights, just select all of them in the "play as traffic" window. Yes, you can play several flights as AI at a time. That's the technique.

Hi Daube,

Thanks for the tip, maybe I'm misunderstand the instructions but it does say record the traffic.

It records the AI traffic, set up by traffic.bgl files.
The confusing part is where it kind of makes you think that when you are playing your file back as traffic, that it will also be recorded.

It won't.  Wink

As Daube said, you must record each plane as it's own file, and then play them all back simultaneously to have them all show at once.

Record the first one, then play it back while recording another plane, then play the two recordings  while recording a third plane, then you would play the three files back while recording a fourth plane, and so on...

It's a little time consuming, but it's worth it in the end. Cool
