When I was little, like 4 or 5, I thought that FS2004 worked by playing pics of the all jets in all the places you can fly and all the maneuvers and views.
I know I know,
VERY
crazy thought, but I was little!

Oh me, oh my, son, When I was little, my school bus was pulled by Clydesdales. And it only took us to the foothills of the mountain chain. Back then, we never could have imagined now. And do you mean to say FS isn't a series of images? Sure it is. Isn't it?
Flying with twins is a lot of fun..

One at a time. Some of us just get to see them at a faster rate now.

When I was little we didn't have FS. We made our own airplanes out of folded paper. Then we'd throw them in the air and follow them,running behind with our arms out like wings and matching their every move until they crashed into the ground.
That's how I learned about 'Go Around'

Those, and the rubber-band powered, balsa wood planes. Wind them up, throw them, chase them, step on them & break them...
Ah, the memories.

I loved those things. My Grandpa and I would do those all the time when I was little. I bet he still has a bunch of those things somewhere.

Dirty old Paul...
I don't really remember what FS was like for me. I thought it was really cool and really enjoyed the lessons with Rod Machado in FS2002 thinking of it as a real training session.

Another thing I remember was a diecast model of a twin engined aircraft on a pedestal that was kept on the mantelpiece.
It belonged to my uncle,my mothers' younger brother,who was always bringing things back from his trips overseas when he was in the Navy.
The plane had plastic props and I'd set it in front of the fan on hot summer days to get the props spinning and dream of flying to all the places my uncle had been(got to a couple eventually--and by plane
)
