I got the Survery and I can honestly say Microsoft are taking the biscuit with these ideas, it shows that they are making an arcade game and ditching the simulator legacy.
I can't wait to see how Aerosoft's simulator pans out and I hope it can replace the hole where FS11 won't be.  Cry

Well they might be considering an arcade game, but I imagine most FSX fliers prefer simulators; so MS would get that point across from the replies.

Since when do developers listen?   Roll Eyes

I reckon the Developers of FSX listened to far too many of daft suggestions proposed by the Flight Simmers from various sites...

...complied with them...

..and therefore made the Sim far too top-heavy and complex for most Computers, at the time of release, to comfortably cope with...

..One has only got to visit all the FSX Forums to notice all the never-ending shouts of Help, every day, day after day, from all the Newby Flight Simmers, to get the Sim running in any satisfactory fashion...!

They never actually get around to using the Flight Simulator for what it was designed for!.. Shocked...!

Far too advanced...all in one go...
...and maybe the reason for the unfortunate disbanding of the Developers?

Bit-by-bit is the way to go...like the previous versions..Wink...!

What do you reckon?

Paul...G-BPLF...FS '98..FS 2000..FS 2002..FS 2004...and FSX!... Cool...!

Something tells me the next FS will probably have "Go", "Take Off", "Land" and "Stop" buttons instead of VC's full of realism.  Roll Eyes

I think they should emphasise "Simulator" so that their fanbase isn't combined of "Hardcore simmers and Aircraft enthuisasts" and "kids wanting to re-enact crashes" but can't because they either can't be bothered to learn or their PC isn't good enough.

Maybe it should come in two editions, "FS11: Serious Edition" and "FS11: Fun Edition"  Grin

...which you just violated, since even mentioning that there IS an NDA is itself a violation...  Grin

This survey is the worst kept secret in FS right now. Grin Wink

I think the NDA was used for its extra hyping abilities. Cheesy
