If I've posted in the wrong place, please move. This is my first post here.

Smiley I'm having a great time using Alrot's latest Citation. If I can just keep it from landing short or coming in too steep I'll have it down. I do have one problem where I could use some help. At night, I can only get the nav lights on when the landing lights are on, also. Is my download faulty? Is there something wrong?

Yeah.. you've got to plan your approaches well, and stay on top of things, all the way to the ground.

If you aren't set up for a stabilized approach, you'll have your hands full.

Practice practice practice.. and concentrate of fundementals.. airspeeds are critical.. improvisation gets you into trouble  Cool

As for the lights... It's an FSX model deal. In order to have lights on wingtips that flex, you cannot use simpe FX lighting (cfg file).. the lights have to be modeled. There's a bug in the FSX model that ties landing lights to nav-lights.

You'll see it in the default models with flexing wings, too.

It's not a "bug" at all. The modeldef.xml file that shipped with FSX SDK RTM and SP1a did not include the XML scripts for lighting.

I wrote and posted XML scripts for all lights that may be added to one's modeldef.xml file well over two years ago at FFDS.

The modeldef.xml file that shipped with SDK SP2 and Acceleration has the missing light XML scripts at the very bottom of the file.
