My favorite time of year!  Who's your team?  What's your score?  Got some terrific match-ups this year...you all know who I'm cheering for  Wink Let's go Wings!!!

(I'm hoping for either a Wings vs Flyers matchup, or a Wings vs Devils matchup)

Follow your games here!!

If the rumors are true and Calgary are getting back the players that have been injured for so long, I will be excited to see how far they can go. Without them you simply can not win a playoff game by dressing only 15 skaters.
Boston san jose I think will be the finals.

I'll be honest, the Jackets have a way of beating the tar out of the Wings when they put their head in the game, should be a good series, I was hoping for an Aneheim match up for round 1.

Watched the Philly game last night, disappointed to see the Pens win but it was a great game to watch!  Can't wait for our first game tonight!   See you on the ice Brett!  (I can't believe a yooper is cheering for an OHIO team...traitor lol)

Here's the funny thing.. I was never a hockey fan. Football pretty much exhausts me, mentally.. so I need the offseason as much as the players.  Cheesy

I've been doing a lot of business in Columbus over the years..and have pretty much seen the Blue Jackets from day one (one of the companies I deal with has season tickets). It started out like a concert thing.. the games were fun to see.. but somewhere along the line I got infected... Of course it will never rival my devotion to the greatest franchise in all of pro sports (Green Bay Packers).. but I'm hooked, and am a loyal, enthusiastic, Jackets fan. Besides.. cheering for the Wings would be too close to cheering for the Lions.. and that's a mortal sin  Tongue

Seriously though..  what I have learned about hockey, is that the playoffs are a different world... moreso than any other sport. You need a team loaded with players who've been there (as a team), to get very far. Talent aside ('cause the Jackets have plenty), the Wings know how to get this done. I fully expect them to repeat... I'll be happy with a gutsy effort from the Jackets.

How the RANGERS keep getting a play-off berth is beyond me, It's torture every post season for me! I don't know if I'll be around another 50 years to see them win the Cup again, so

Against the Red Wings? Roll Eyes

Well to bad my team didn't even make it! Yay Cheesy! and we got the 3rd pick in the draft! For the first round the best matchup will be the Devils and Hurricanes. The Hurricanes just ended a 9 game win streak and the Devils had a big lossing streak also. Im routing for the Hurricanes right now. Cool From the West, i'd like to see the Canucks make it or maybe even the Wings although I am an Avs fan. Roll Eyes Lips Sealed Grin

Like Brett said, the playoffs ARE a whole different hockey game, the players are even more aggressive, the crowd is louder, the hits are harder, the fights are meaner... it's like watching super hockey  Cool

Well, your'e Wings sure have had my hometown team's(Blackhawks) number for years but I'm still having hope these young guys can do something this year. Gotta admit they're a heck of a lot better than the last few, okay alot, of years.

Not sure if anyone is watching the Wings Jackets game, but they are getting physical!  4 fights so far, 13 minutes into the game.
