I'm pretty much done with Vista right now
Constant updates etc the most recent made me waste 4 hours of MY time to fix it back/restore and "Windows may (MAY?!) restart during this process" 8 TIMES.
That's where I'm at. I see XP Pro 64bit on eBay from 50-90 bucks. Worth looking at? I have a valid copy of Vista Home Premium so I can somehow contact Microsoft to get them to send me a non resell copy of XP? Worth a shot? Vista has it's ups and downs. But more downs than ups. Opinions? Help here?

SP2 for Vista is coming out. Lets just all hope that SP2 for Vista will be as good as SP2 for XP.
I use my Vista Laptop for general use and family use but for hardcore gaming and performance I use my Homebuilt XP Pro.

I have read that the main problem with Vista 64 is the lack of 64-bit drivers from sotware vendors, and of course it's compatibility glitches.
Many are complaining about thousands of registry entries in Vista.
In many cases an XP 64-bit machine is up to 64% faster than an identically prepared Vist 64-bit, even after driver updates for Vista.
Vista 32-bit seems to be more compatible with current apps and software than Vista 64, but then what's the point?
