Hello everbody,
I have bought a new rig which was o/c by the builder but I had problems, thanks to advice by NickN I reset the bios to default and now wish to do it myself. UGH! I have looked at various forums an am totally confused? I have searched but  with no luck, lots of reviews though!, has anyone o/c a QX9650? and can it be done by using the Extreme Tweaker Menu in the Bios setup? I have had a good look at it but am very nervous about making changes without some advice.

Thanks
Harry

Why?

Your system specs are quite impressive as is. My system is about half of yours and I enjoy it immensely. You couldn't pry me away from it if I had yours as is.

I have a similar set up. (See sig below)

I don't know why you need to o/c the QX9650. It runs great without any clocks. But yes as we all know o/c is hobby and I won't get in the way. Grin Grin

Thanks guy's, I appreciate your inputs  however I would like to see if I can improve my performance especially with AI traffic,  albeit that @ 3.0 ghz its very good indeed. I guess I'll have to ask elsewhere.

Thanks

Hello everybody, and thanks for the positive input, just to say so far that I have been able to raise the processor speed with a stable over clock  to 3.7ghz and am very pleased. It does make quite a difference to smoothness of FSX and frame rates becomes somewhat less important.

Thanks,

Harry
