Okay, I have a 1.8 GHz Sempron Processor with a NVidia GeForce 6150 LE integrated graphics card. I have 512 MB of DDR Ram at 200MHz. I get about 15-20 FPS in FSX. What kind of performance will I see if I replace my 512 MB RAM with 2GB of DDR PC3200 400 MHz RAM?

I'm getting a free Alienware Area-51 M17X Laptop (See my Avatar). But I need your help. If you help me, you can get a free laptop, too! So visit http://www.freearea51.com/?referral=1q8hbl8

My friend I wish I had good news for you.  don't waste your money on expensive DDR RAM (I looked into getting some for another system and DDR runs close to DDR3 prices! Shocked).  And that CPU will never be able to provide what you're looking for, and neither will the integrated graphics.

You need to spend some money now and build yourself an FSX system if you want anything close to what this sim has to offer (and the awesome UTX/GEXn/FEX addons).  Or you could wait for Nahelem at the end of the year.  It's a tough spot to be in right now because if you spend now, it'll be just about obsolete at the end of the year (even though you'll have fun flying until then).

I would be very happy to help you spend your money to build a nice FSX rig! Cheesy

Don't worry about FPS.  With FSX, anything around 15-20 FPS is enough.  What you want is smooth performance.  A good system won't net you a lot of FPS (considering the HW available now) but you will get more fluidity and better texture loading (meaning less blurries).  Don't chase FPS.  There just isn't any HW available now that will get you high FPS, like other games,  with all the addons and eye candy.
