Well guys, thanks for all the help with the questions I’ve posted regarding Gmax and Flight Sim.  I’ve been working on this aircraft for over a half a year now.  There is still a lot to finish off.  There is even a lot to just start - like the virtual cockpit, and custom instruments.
This thing is flyable, and at Mach 1.7, it’s great to explore the  flight sim virtual world – rip up some mountain ranges.
So here is a graphic and there are larger screen shots and the latest ZIP at www.dickert.ca/swift
I know most flight simmers are into airliners, but what do you guys think of this little aircraft.

Would you like to design my idea? It looks like a low-wing 337 with no front engine. It's single-place, with a long nose like a 404 or 441. Has a rear look like a C-130. Can be widened for two sitters, or lengthened for four. I have had it in my head for over 20 years, but it is so hard to draw with instruments that I gave up in the late 1980s. If I had even a touch of talent with SketchUp or FSDSv3, I could have something to look at in a jiffy...

My system: AMD Phenom 9500 cpu, 2 x eVGA e-GeForce 8800GTS Superclocked vidcards (640Mb DDR3 each), Zalman "sunflower" 9700 fan, Gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4 mobo, 4Gb G.Skill PC2-6400 DDR2 800Mhz RAM, 2 x Sony 20X DVD writers, Thermaltake Toughpower 850W modular p/s, 7 x 120mm fans, Windows XP Home and SP3, 2 x 250Gb Western Digital SATA-300 HDs (1 for apps, 1 for storage and precious files backup), CoolerMaster CM 690 case, NOD-32. Won't run FSX. Locks up a lot with FS9, too.

Personally I love those little zip single/doubles.  They're great for a quick joyride, and if they're set up right, you can take them on long-range flights, as well.  I haven't flown this one yet, since I'm working hard on my own stuff, but you can bet that the moment I fly something other than my test-bird, I'll get this thing on my sim.

Nice work . . . Wink
