Hello,
I have installed Kirk Olsson's great F-16 family of planes. The F-16A/C performs a lot better than the F16-B/D and I would like to know what file controls performance? I have compared the aircraft.cfg files and even changed the aircraft.cfg file on a D model to be the same as a C model and the D still does not perform like the C. I know that in the real world the D maybe not perform as well (single seat vs. dual seat), but I would like mine to perform better. An example would be the C will go over 990 mph and the D will not get past 858. So, what file controls performance? Is it the model file and if it is what do I need to open a model file so I can compare two files and modify as I like?
Regards,
Rod

The AIR file controls most of the performance aspects of the aircraft. You can use a air file editor program such as AirEd to modify the aircrafts performance to your liking. It's freeware and you can probably find it with a google search.
If you just want the same exact performance with the D variant that you get with the C, you can copy/paste and rename the C's airfile to the D's original filename.
