I've been doing alot of reading.. I keep downloading different programs only to find out that they don't do what I thought they would and can't figure out exactly what I need. Any help is appreciated.

I just created a new airport and now I'm ready to load it up with some traffic. I don't need anything fancy. The default fsx aircraft will do.
I don't have Excel, so can't use stuff that came with fsx deluxe.

If someone could point me in the right direction I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanks.

Hello:
I am assuming that atc and fsx recognizes your airport, therefore the manually way of doing this is to insert your airport into the flightplans (trafficAircraft.bgl / default planes).  Of course you will have decompile the bgl and reconfigure the airport text (add your airport and the coordinates to the text), the flightplan text (create flightplans under each ac# if you want every AI defult aircraft to fly to your airport) and then compile back to the bgl.  This can be a lot of work especially if you are new to making flight plans.  I guess that's probably the reason why you haven't recieved to many responses among other posibilities.

Nonetheless, it probably would take a lot less time if you downloaded a few aircraft basemodels, textures and create your own flight plans with your airport included.  There are a lot of tutors on the net, if you are new to creating flightplans.  Thats how I learned.

The only freeware program that I can think of that may do this for you is GA-Traffic, but I am not certain on this.

Don't know of any payware programs that could do this but I am sure there are somewhere.

Thanks for your reply. Yeah, I figured the lack of replies are because of the complicatedness of it.

I've been looking at the traffic sdks that came with fsx.. the help files make it look easy.. but nothing wants to work. (it appears there is a way to make fsx automatically populate an airport using the dos program in the traffic toolbox folder.) Still trying to figure that thing out. It references a .inf file.. sayings all I have to do is make the inf file with the traffic directions and run it through the program. For the life of me I can't figure out how to make this inf file.

And then all over the forum I'm reading about people using other programs... which I've googled them to death and can't even find any of them.

I've enabled the traffic toolbox in fsx.. which seems to allow me to 'spawn in' aircraft with specified flightplans inside the game itself.. seems easy.. If I was to make a bunch of flight plans then just do it this way though.. I don't know if it's making a file somewhere that I would be able to package with my airport to share the traffic with others.

I keep hearing about GA-Traffic..  I've looked at it a couple times.. but havn't downloaded it. and to me it appears to be a program to install pre-made traffic. Which might help a little.. but it only does half the job.. it installs the traffic.. but doesn't do anything about making the traffic to my knowledge.

There appears to be so many different ways to do this.. I don't know if I'm waisting my time one way when I should be doing it another way.

An all-in-one program would be excellent.. one that lets me load up pre-made flightplans that I made in fsx.. choose my aircraft.. choose frequency of that plan to run... then compile to bgl to put in addon scenery folder or whatever.  Everything requires 10 different programs and text editing..
