As the result of a recent thread and raw boredom, I decided to post this poll and find out which airplane you find more eye pleasing. If you select "other", post a reply and tell us what airplane (in this category) you had in mind and a link to it on a.net if you can.
Below I have listed links to pictures of these airplanes in their respective order to help you out...

I think what this shows us is that transport planes are designed form before function. WE find them attractive because of what they do. For example, the 747 is sa beautiful bird because it has a great design. The An-225 is a great plane because it is such a feat. But it is pretty ugly.
My vote went for the C-17. I hope Boeing goes ahead with the commercial version. That will look great in UPS colors.

Well the Antonovs are just ugly. The C-17 is fat. The C-5 is ok. The C-130 is also good. Mine went to the C-141. It looks beautiful minus the refueling hump.

An-225 for me too..
On a side note your links to the photos of the 2 Antonovs are the wrong way round, and shouldn't this be Real Aviation?

It was between the C-17 and the AN-225. I chose the C-17 in the end.

I don't believe the C-27 is considered a "heavy" aircraft and if I'm not mistaken the C-130 isn't either. But then again I don't suppose I specified that did I? I originally did and then my web browser gave me some trouble and I had to start all over again. Oh well. Both are great aircraft though. I'll be seeing more of the C-27s at my airport here shortly. L-3 Communications was just awarded a defense contract involving the C-27 for the US Army and Air Force.

Hey, it carries stuff from A to B. Not as much as a C-5 'tho but still more than most other military aircraft.
