What a ridiculous idea. They fly completely different aircraft so their routines are very different (not to mention most members here won't have seen both!) so trying to say which is better is impossible.

I've had the great good fortune to see both (I've seen the Reds far more times however) and I have to say the Turkish Stars are just the maddest display team on the planet Cool

Grin Never seen them, but if YOU'RE saying that, they must be mad  Grin Grin Grin

Makes me kinda proud that my Dad is from Turkey  Tongue

I've never seen the Red Arrows, but the Blue Angels were downright amazing when I say them. Tough choice.

yeh, so that takes it down to more or less personal preference. the blue angels (in what ive seen of them) just go simple formations but the arrows do some crazy ass stuff such as the chippo (or however ya call it) break away and the spinning around trails

Unfortunately that 'mad' commentator is no longer with the team (so is my understanding - have only seen them once at Mildenhall '98). I think that's who most people remember the Turkish Stars for!

To illustrate your point, a video I uploaded a while ago:

Turkish Stars, ladies and gentlemen! Hooray! Hooray!
