Judge Gabe selected us a new “King” for the week … it’s Helms91!!!
Judge Helms’ competition is one harking back to a golden age…….
“A FINE VINTAGE”
He says:
“ Hey everyone, lets go back in the day with some vintage aircraft. for the competition this week, take some pics of any old prop plane, at anytime of the day, and in any weather you could think of. No jets allowed. You can edit the shot if you want, but if that isn't your style, then you don't have to. So good luck!"
THIS WEEK'S RULES
1. The subject is vintage aircraft – no jets!
2. It can be from inside or outside the vehicle.
3. There can be payware or freeware in the shots, FS any version, and it can be edited too. BUT NO CUTTING OUT AND PASTING - the screenshot should remain the same - you can change colours, blur the shot, whatever - but no pasting other planes in, or pasting the plane on a new background - this contest is open to everyone, not just photoshop pro's…
4. You nominate one shot only, as a thumbnail of about 5 kb. It can be yours, or someone else's. Post it in this thread, below.
DEADLINE IS 10 PM GMT ON SATURDAY. The judge will choose which shot is best and tell KRIGL on Sat or Sunday. KRIGL will announce the winner Sunday evening, or as soon as possible.
THE WINNER IS THE NEXT JUDGE!
5. The winner should decide on the next competition, and send KRIGL one pic plus a short text to describe the competition and what they are looking for. Also send another couple of your best shots. This should be done asap… Krigl doesn’t like chasing people…
Krigl will start the new competition on Monday night if he can, so you have 5 evenings to produce your entry.
6. This is for fun, so just post whatever seems to you to fit the rules. In the spirit of StudioV, we're all aviation and aviation screenie fans, and friends, and so just about everything goes. Rules are secondary, and no questions needed.
It might be an idea to check out our Judge's work, see what he likes....
TWO 'IMPORTANT' NOTES
A. Please note: the winning picture will NOT go into the gallery, unless it's judged by the gallery team to be exceptional, so that is not the prize and don't be disappointed if it doesn't get in. The point is that you get to be the judge!!!
B. Winners need to send Krigl the material for the new competition by early Monday night (say 9:00 GMT). If they do not, Krigl will be the judge and make a competition himself. And that would be boring wouldn't it. This is so the comp becomes regular and dependable!
All pics above are crystal clear examples of the Helmsmeister's art.
We hope you enjoy this week's comp, all participants welcome!

Well... nice work Mythical and Spyro!
Here's my entry:
Sorry it's not more creative, really lacking time at the moment.... I edited it mildly.
Hope you like it anyway!
Cheers

Ok heres my entry.
Editing wise, I desaturated the background, added some highlights and added flame and smoke.
