I've managed to get a lot of mileage out of the simple but functional F1view.  Smiley

For FSX, take a look at my flexcam.

There's said to be a link around here somewhere...

Yes, there is. Go to the Welcome Center and click on Tutorial Library. Heretic's Flexcam tutorial is the latest addition to the list.

The recorder module is great!  I tried the W&F demo, couldn't figure it out.  Now I have AC, which is awesome, but it doesnt do anything for taking screenshots.  I still use recorder module with ac, and it doesnt get the really crazy angles like some people take, but it allows you to move the camera off center and get some really neat shots.

One of these days I will put together a tutorial series entitled "Tools of the Trade" and describe in detail what I use to take and save screenshots.

If you want to take the best angles, and have 20 dollars or so spare, walk and follow is the dogs bo....pyjamas. It is, in fact, very easy to use, you can take any angle of plane and horizon you like, you can position it behind your plane and to the side and then fly like you're in formation  Cheesy - and, if you pause your plane, you can use a different function to move away from the plane altogether and just zoom where you like and take pictures of radiators in the terminal, flowerbeds, rabid hedgehogs, whatever. (If you don't pause your plane, it disappears from view  Grin)

Don't try the W+F demo if you have F1 view installed. It will make your plane rotate uncontrollably and the only way out is to restart from the last save.

F1 view is free from flight1 software (payware site) - in their free downloads section. Big improvement over the default possibilities. GET IT for sure.

You can use recorder to get Walk and Follow-like crazy angles too. Record a flight, play back as ai, then use another plane as a camera to get the target plane and horizon at any angle you like.

Cheers
Krigl
