I'm no UFO expert but I think I can identify that unidentified flying object as an American Airlines 727.

WRONG! That would be an American Airlines MD-80 (or 85 or something). 727s have 3 engines.

In addition to not being a UFO expert, I'm also not a civil aviation expert.
So does that make the UFO (Unidentified Flying Object) a WFO (Wrongly Identified Flying Object)?

Looked like another airplane, way in the background, at a 3/4 angle. Probably another plane either recently departed from the same airport or in the pattern.

You must have an overactive imagination.
What I see is typical archive footage as others here have pointed out. It was either filmed before or after the event.

pause it at second 15, it could either be that, or a continental 737

It doesn't matter, IT IS NOT FILM OF THE INCIDENT! It is what is called file footage (theres even FILE on the bottom). File footage is filmed at a random time and stored so that when the news station needs to illustrate something they can show a quick clip.

Off Topic: I love watching those UFO TV shows and figuring out what the UFOs in the footage actually are. In one tape I remember seeing this video taken from inside a ship, through a window of a giant UFO floating over a city. The announcer was proclaiming this tape as conclusive evidence that UFOs are real. The funny thing was that the object was obviously a reflection of one of the ship's lighting fixtures reflecting off the window glass. You could even make out the GE symbol on the bulb! (Or perhaps GE is buying billboard space on UFOs?) Another favorite is when they show this UFO racing all over the sky. They trott out some video expert who proclaims that the footage shows some object traveling at thousands of miles per hour, reversing direction repeatedly, etc. But when you really think of what's going on it's obvious that all that's being filmed is some bright stationary object and it's actually a shaking camera person who's causing the thing to jump all around the screen.
