Could someone please explain what the term 'hand flyer' aerodynamics means.

I am new to the FS World and have a lot of questions.

I don't know if that term has been "copyrighted" or not, but it seems to be used generically for "realistic".. as in, "you can easilly fly it by hand".

I suppose that's subjective.   Roll Eyes   Easy and realistic are kind of mutually exclusive when it comes to flying a simulator... or a real airplane  Wink

Being a person who has built model airplanes since the 40's you can rest assured that I will be entering this asylum.

I have spent hundereds of hours "super detailing" plastic models until my hands would no longer allow it.

This looks like a place where I should fit right in.

Re-inventing the wheel is a total waste of time, so please be patient with my sometimes dumb questions,  Inquiring minds need to know.

Felix has already warned you   Smiley   (too late I hope)..

If attention to modeling detail is something you enjoy; those whispered words will lead you to a modeling realm that is imposible to over-estimate. It's one of the few hobbies I've entertained during my near 50 years that absolutely will reward you proportionally and consistently with the only limit being your enthusiasm (and patience).

Whatever your level of accomplishment or knowledge, it will be challenged and raised. You can learn and apply; modeling, flight physics, aircraft geometry, weight/balance, computer-aided-design, graphics and graphics editing/application. You'll even become intimately familiar with instruments, gauges and instrument panel design.

OK, I better stop now.. I'm intimidating myself..  Smiley

Who?
What?
And should I be aftaid?

I just came to realize that Sim Flying can be dangerous to your bank account.   Who woulda thunk it?

FS9 ====$20.00                      I can afford that.
Yoke === 110.00                      This thing will really fly now
Rudder Pedals ====$110.00     Got to have it to get those tail draggers off the ground.

This is beginning to make a dent in my SS check. Huh

Assorted Downloads = 100-00+

Dreaming about a new gaming computer that will not stutter or stall along with a 24 inch monitor === $5000.00 ( I am old and can't see like I used to, at least that's what I tell SweetThing)
Building a custom cockput with triple monitors ===  How much ya got is how much it cost.
All I need now is to win the lotto.
I think that I'm hooked.  Wink
Will somebody out there help me? Smiley

Is this the wrong place to come to for an intervention?
Huh Huh Huh
