can you declare emergencies in FSX??

i have noticed there are more failures options, but can you actually declare?

i have seen no way to do so in any MSFS yet, and i think it would be a nice touch. just curious

while dealing with an engine failure the other day, I did try and tell someone about it but no option. Sad

It was discussed long ago: No, there are no emergency procedures in the FS9 or FSX ATC Wink
A pity, I have to admit. The developpers told us long before FSX was out that the ATC had just some bugs removed, but no new  features.

lets hope someone creates an atc emergency addon soon (if possible) then the game would be a lot more fun.

Declaing an emergency was one thing I really liked about Flight Unlimited II and III.
ATC would then give you a vector to the nearest suitable airplot.
