This was originally posted by Myrm, over at the Just Flight forums:

"I occasionally get a problem with no panel showing in the 2D cockpit. Sometimes I can cycle through the various views and when I get back to 2D cockpit mode I can see the panel. Sometimes it refuses to show or just briefly flashes up before disappearing. I have tried changing aricraft but it results in the same issue.

...

The dark area is where the 2D panel should be. It makes flying very difficult to do without it."

I get this problem too, it happens with any addon aircraft using the default FSX 2D panels at airports.

Does anyone else get this? Can it be fixed?

I dont know, really. But  try to change your AA and AF to low on your card, and go from there.
Maybe, who can tell.

Hi, I tried doing that aswell as tweaking other settings and, no luck.

I've found out that real world weather is causing this. Could it be something to do with the weather servers going down recently?

No, nothing to do with the weather server being down.

It's an FSX problem that apparently hasn't been isolated yet.

I'm guessing that you have an ATI radeon video card as well.

Try and move your fsx.cfg into another place, and restart the sim. (A new will be made).
The sim starts in default, depending on your card, but its worth trying.
Good luck.

ps. Be carefull with addons at the moment. A lot are giving problems.

Thanks.
