The annual Flight of Aces Weekend is here again on Long Island!
I will be there at 10 am on Monday, September 4 with my daughter again. She loves climbing up, in and through the B-17 & B-24. She calls them "Airplane Jungle Jims"!

If anybody else is planning on going, contact me so we can meet up!

Good grief, I had forgotten about this... I really ought to spring for a membership, so they'll put me on the mailing list.
I wonder if members will get to ride in the C47 on Monday? Hmmm...

At any rate, I'm not working that day and the weather should be good. I may be flying , but most likely either early AM or late in the day... I'll be in touch. Grin

Have a good time!!  I wish I could get up there but, it won't happen.

I saw the Collings Foundation's B-17, B-24 and B-25 at the Cape May Airport ( KWWD ).  Only the B-25 flew while I was there.  The weather is really nasty down this way ( I'm at the shore on vacation ).  They will be there today for a little longer and then leave for Farmingdale, NY.  The B-24 had a brake problem and should have been fixed by now.  It was the first time I saw a B-25 upclose let alone fly.  It was sweet!! Smiley
I have pictures but can't post them until I get home.  The NAS Wildwood Aviation Museum was pretty cool with alot great aircraft in it.  I'll post those pictures also.

Well i'm going to take some shots of the wild ocean now.  Surfs up!!! Grin

  Enjoy the show!! Smiley

Why the flip do they keep having shows on weekdays!?!

Oh wait, it's Labor Day, right? Whoo, maybe I can convince my dad to shlepp me over there. Grin Dunno though, Republic is a bit far from here. If I take two steps backwards, I'd wind up in Pennsylvania. Tongue

We'll see. Smiley
