If I had a Spitfire, I'd find a suitable name beginning with S...

i mean like if you owned concorde would you call her Freebird beacuse of here speed or style or a F-16 a tycoon beacuse of its preformance

If i had a plane it would be a Yak-18T with 450HP and extended range tanks.

I would (will?) probably name it Betty, after my mother. She'd like that.
But more important than a name would be: to paint "SEE YA" on the undersides of the wings, in great big letters.
"SMELL YA LATER" wouldn't fit too well, except maybe on a glider. Grin
