Mircrosoft announced today that there is no, and never was any FSX. It was merely a cruel joke which started with half a dozen edited FS9 screenshots which then span out of control as it fueled its self with rumours and what if's.

Bill Gates has commented that it's "All very silly. How could the fools be taken in so easily?"

According to Microsoft FS9 is going to be their last version of Flight Simulator so that they could concentrate on Combat Flight Simulator with it's newer and superior game engine.

Woodlouse2002 PITA and BAR!!!!!!!!&&&&Our Sovereign Lord the King chargeth and commandeth all persons, being assembled, immediately to disperse themselves, and peaceably to depart to their habitations, or to their lawful business, upon the pains contained in the Act made in the first year of King George the First for preventing tumults and riotous assemblies. God Save the King.&&&&Viva la revolution!

Tis no hoax, rather a hoodwink.

FSX is none other than microsft's answer to X-Plane, just as CFS3 was to IL2.

X-Plane people are horrible to newcommers, so microsoft will probably win here in any case. I anticipate microsoft actually doing something useful for once if they can knock X-Plane off.

In that case, you should already be aware of the X-Plane forum members' habits. If those people saw SimViation, they would realize that we are kind and gentle like Hagar, Commoner, Pete, Ozzy, etc. Grin

Well, I did not know I was banned since I would not waste my time there. However "what a surprise" lmao.

Actually, what they do is cunningly set you up. In my case I was given a link which was for admin staff only, and when I explained this I was accused of 1) being thick, 2) being too lazy to register.

I would like to point out I am neither thick nor lazy, and indeed that particular link had no registration facility and was identified in big red letters as being for admin staff only.

When I explained this I received abuse, even an abusive e-mail.

So I think I will be forgiven for not really having a great interest in their community.

I propose a question to you daube: if we give anyone on here wrong advice, do we then accuse them of being lazy and thick ? No, I think most will agree we are a bit more civilised.

I guess I was banned for having the audacity to object to abuse.  Do I give a ****? nope.
