Would there be a benefit in ordering it now?
Plus, would it be cheaper?

The only benefit of pre-ordering is to ensure you get a copy on release.  I don't think that will be an issue.  The price is the same either way.  Sometimes certain places will offer bonuses for pre-ordering, but I haven't seen any.  I would personally just wait.

If you pre-order it you can tell us all what it's like. Cheesy

I've pre-ordered a copy, because around here (I don't know about the UK), the stores release the game the day after it's official ship date, unless you pre-order it, in which case you get it the day it ships.

I don't understand the big hurry. Why not wait until they fix all the bugs. There's bound to be bugs.

Yeah, but won't they mass produce it anyway?
If you watched the big video the man says something like about the airbus aircraft "they don't fly very well at the moment!" Dunno how recent the video clip is, but if it is quite recent they better hurry up.

I'll tell you why everyone is in a hurry. It's because I've run out of injections for the time being and everyone is experiencing witdrawal. Grin

well, with the pre ordering you still get the same copy everyone else does, and any bugs will most likely be in a patch available for download as it was in FS9,  i doubt they would re release it with just a patch on it.

The disk you get the day it's released is the same disk you get if you wait 2 years.

I don't see that you get a benifit for ordering Early. But no minus either. But if you do early now, you do know that you have ordered it, and don't need to worry 'bout it.

Fs9 wasn't buggy nor was fs8.

I don't agree, FS9 was full of bugs.... like.... errr.... wait.... ah yeah ! When you add some third party modules or planes, sometimes it would crash the sim, and the author of those addons would have to patch their products themselves, without support from Microsoft. Unacceptable, simply unacceptable  Angry

Seriously, I was pretty pleased with the stability of FS2004 when I buyed it. MS did a patch to improve some performance and correct stuff I didn't even notice, but if you compare with some other popular games, FS community is pretty lucky, I would say...

I still don't understand the big rush to be the first to get it. Nobody knows how it will run on their PC yet, that's if it will run any sense. It all seems a tad immature to me. Shows the power of marketing I suppose.

PS. I'm not in the habit of buying a pig in a poke. I'll wait until I read all the reviews & comments here on this forum.

Will run on mine. One of the videos with the oilrig rescue on it was on the same specs as mine.
