"MS Flight sim has always included a sailplane. Have you ever noticed that there wasn’t a towplane to go along with the sailplane? There is now. The dynamics of towing an aircraft aloft isn’t accomplished with a towrope made of steel. The rope moves accordingly with taught and slack periods as the two planes work in tandem to get aloft."

Hey Guess what guys? MS have for the first time included an Airbus, check out the link!

I don't know about you guys but today is sure full of news of FSX or shall I say 2006!

The headlights and tail lights are also included which should make for some very scenic night flying or evening approaches into major cities.

For the first time ever, they are offering a trial version to be available from their website fsinsider.com.

His “reward” for completing the event, was a Red Bull contract which appeared at the end of the mission and will be kept in his flight log.

So it does have sorta a "career" mode

Additonal mission will be available for download at the fsinsider.com website and I’m sure we will see a lot of hobbyists posting their own missions as well.

I'm glad to see there already thinking of upgrades.....

Nice find Wink

Sounds like a FS-X is going to be pretty wicked. Have they mentioned yet what having all the different bits (cars, whales, birds, baggage cars at airports, etc.) will do to the performance? It sounds like a pretty hefty machine would be needed to not only be able to fly with all of those but to have  it look good as well.

Very impresive though

That's what was pretty much understood from the start.

Ok ok, so here is my little list
- new PC-of-the-death-that-kills
- new joystick
- Vista (if not embedded with the new PC)
- Track IR
- FSX Deluxe

... Looks like I'm going to eat only Pasta for a while Cheesy

The screenshot in the airport, at the gate... it says it all I think. THIS is really a great addition to the environment quality.

It may sound weird, but the fluctuation of road traffic, and the addition of cars lights, will also provide a whole new feeling during those night landing phases.

FINALLY, FI-NA-LLY they have done something to improve the glider experience. It was about time they did it. The glider is included in the sim since FS5 (was it in FS4 as well?) and 5 releases later, we will finally get realistic tow planes, grrrrreeeeaaaat  Grin

me waiting for FSX  8)

My new computer will have:

ASUS          M2N32-SLI Deluxe Motherboard
Athlon        AMD 64-bit Dual Core Processor
NVidia        Dual SLI GeForce 7950 (7950 already 2 graphics cards together)
Kingston    2 GB DDR2 800Mhz RAM
PCP&C       Turbo-Cool® 850 SLI Power Supply

3 LCD Monitors with MATROX TripleHead2Go
New Saitek Joystick (when it comes out)
Some fancy sound system (Dolby 5.1 Ch)

Windows Vista
Flight Simulator X Deluxe

(Items may change depending on new item releases and various limitations due to the fact that I live in Phuket, Thailand, which is not exactly the best place to get the best computer hardware or software that would be real, original versions rather than pirated copies of such)

Hmmm... It says something about landing atop a bus... I wonder if this means new/fixed collision or it's just another one of those "selected" surfaces where you can land...

Right this is interesting... it not said either if the bus is moving or not.... if we can land on a moving bus, that simply means that we will finally land on moving carriers Smiley

Wow, that'd be the best.  I love landing on aircraft carriers, its the most challenging, yet most fun part of flight simming to me. Wink

I just wish MS would simply put in a system for defining aresting areas like it was default scenery exportation.

I tend to have rather annoying trouble with 3Wire or RCBCO. Tongue

The box for it looks... very strange... maybe I'm just used to having a Lear 45/Concorde/747/DC-3 thrust right in my face.  Grin But I still think it it looks gamish/arcadish.  Sad

I dont care what it means, as long as helicopters are flyable and I actually can land on a bus

Doubtful. Everyone knows that the FS series has always required a high-end system. Grin

But I don't want to ruin your hopes since anyone can dream, right? Grin
