What is that you may say?

Well, it is "thick" or "full" smoke on smoke systems.

Its kinda wierd, for me anyway, to be flying, say, a Pitts or some other aircraft and not have a verry good smoke trail.....Sad

I hope FSX will have:

1) fuller, thicker, more realistic smoke.
2) smoke that actually react to the plane. (vorticies(sp?) and such)

I'm ok with the way the smoke is.

As for the tow, I can imagine how I can tow a plane into the air with my cars. Grin

On things like a smoke system can you not change it to make it more like what you wanted?

I know I have seen many different variations of smoke systems. Some thicker, some that last longer and what not?

Mostly, it's the dynamics of the smoke. which are verry difficult to change

Lol Airshow_lover, I remember you b*tching about your flat contrails Grin Wink.
But indeed that's a good question..... it'd be great if they improved the smoke system.... and give us 3D smoke effects Tongue. Maybe can you already change this with a prog or a script or whatever.... any info about it (in FS9 I mean)?

Cheers

If you have seen the touchdown effects, u can make a smoketrail start with the vortex, and then let the smoke sit there.  The most u can do for realism is making the smoke react to wind, and gravity, however there r no actual effects physics related to any aircraft in the game.  So if u fly through ur smoke, nada much happens.  In fact, nothing happens.

MS should implement a general 'Vapour' system in FSX, so you can make any form of smoke, vapour, powder, dust which would always change depending on any king of airflow, or other depending factors (e.g. wind, pressure, tempurature, any vorteces created by anything).

This of course, would take up quite a bit of processing.  Partical systems are designed to create simple effects with general behaviours which would not require much processing power.

...&&FS Water Configurator+ has new modifications in the works, plus DirectX 10, Service Pack&&1, and Radeon HD 3+ Series support.
