Okey so the question is not how to do it, but can I jump a friends X800 to an X850XL. Technically speaking their both PCI-E cards with 256mb of RAM and the same cores (I think), so its a matter of unlocking Pixel pipelines. But the only reason I'm asking is that I dont want to do this, and have to buy him a new card. I know that I can go withen the series (I did my dads X800 to an X800XT) but I want to know if I can go outside (X800 to X850)

Cheers
Cameron

Theres the article. Theres also one for nVidia there. BIOS flashes are the best way to get the most bang for your buck in the GFX card world (right next to overclocking). So I guess ill just go ahead and do a X800XL flash on his card, and O/C it.

Cheers
