Hello,

i just finished my first first FS9 paintjobs (http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=screen;action=display;num=...)but having a problem to select them in he create flight menu.

I made 3 liveries of the same 737. In order to do so I made the first by changing the textures from the plane i downloaded, changed the aircraft.cfg to the new names.

Worked fine, no problem. For the next livery I just copied that folder and renamed it according to the new bird'S name.  Changed that textures and cfg.. done

Now the problem. when every I pic the second paintjob in the 3rd combobox of the "select plane" menu and apporve with "ok" I always have the 1st plane chosen in the create flight window Sad

To actually fly the 2nd livery I have to change aircraft in the ingame menu.

I hope it wasn'T too confusing.. Sad

Could anyone help me out on that?

S!

Can you copy the first few sections (the modified ones) of your aircraft.cfg file to here?

Never Mind but your hint with the cfg was good...

I again read through the other problem threads and found as a PS footnote that the title must be exclusive for every livery too. thought that refers to the models.
Changed it and it works..

Can i place all liveries in one B737 folder too?
I checked the default 747 and there you have texture, texture.1, etc for the liveries.. can i do it the same way?
I only have to add the cfg header of all 3 versions into one and change the texture=, texture=1, etc and adding fltsim.0 fltsim.1 etc??

btw.. why is the skin that much blurry in the preview screen? It looks fine when picking the plane but once clicked ok and back in the create flight main it looks somewhat blury.. as it loaded it with an odd LOD. I don'T recon that with the FS9 default planes..

Thanks!!!

I wouldn't do it any other way!

Open aircraft.cfg and copy the [fltsim.x] section three times, leaving a blank line between each one.

Change each [fltsim.x] line to the next available number.  You already had fltsim.0 as the default, if you add 3 new liveries you should call the next section fltsim.1, then fltsim.2 and fltsim.3

Change the title= to something different on each one.  It doesn't matter what you call them.

Change the texture= for each entry to whatever you have named the matching folder, it doesn't need to be a number but texture.1 and texture.2 is easier to remember.

Change the ui_variation= to a unique name, again it doesn't matter what you use.

Give that a try, if it doesn't work come back again but it should all be okay this way Smiley
