Hey all,
How would I go about creating an airport for some scenery? I know I'll need AFCAD and things like that, but how do I use the porgrams and how would I go about telling the program what textures to use from FS9?
Cheers  Wink

File: New Airport

AFCAD2 comes with the best written manual in cyberspace (thanks to Lee Swordy). It's fool proof but not idiot proof. After placing the AF2 Readme shortcut icon on your desktop, read in part:

"52. Creating a New Airport From Scratch
In addition to modifying existing stock airports, AFCAD can create a new airport, one that doesn't currently exist in the game.  This can be done at any location.  You can create a visible airport with runways, taxiways, aprons, lights, communications, navaids and ATC. However, since the current version of AFCAD can't create taxiway signs or buildings and other structures, such an airport will be somewhat bare. These features will be available in subsequent releases.

Here are the steps for creating a new airport, note that many of these steps can be done in a different order if desired: blah, blah, blah; etc. . ."

Smiple? You bet.

I'm not sure whether or not AFCAD will be released with those features that was mentioned in the HTML help file and the readme. From what I understand, Lee Swordy has not chosen or has decided not to improve AFCAD for some reason.

I would hope that's the opposite, because AFCAD is the easiest airport creator/modifier software out there IMHO, and has the potential to be a pretty powerful program if it were to be expanded.
